Dobbie Rim camping area is located in Chichester State Forrest, just south of  Barrington Top National Park. There is a large grassy area suitable for large groups. Whether you use a camper trailer, caravan, tent or swag there is plenty of room to spread out. The campgroud is accessible by 2wd vehicles.

Getting there -

From Dungog take Chichester Dam Road and turn left onto Salisbury Road. Travel onto Salisbury Gap road and down to Allyn River Road. From here its approx 30 kilometers.

From Gresford - Just follow Allyn River Road it's about 40 kilometers.

Being a state forest dogs are allowed but please be mindful of other campers. There is a new pit toilet that was conveniently located up on the hill approximately 80 meters from where we set up. The Allyn river is just a short walk from this camp ground or right next to a lower camping area. approximately 500 meters up the road is Ladies well. This is a great place to take a dip.

Around this area are plenty of trail tracks and places to have a look at or take your 4wd, bike.

There are no supplies so bring everything with you. There are garbage bins located at both camp sites.

On a scale of 1 to 10 i would give this place a 7 and would say that it is worth a visit. Very relaxing and quiet even with a fair amount of other people around. This place gets busy in the warmer months with people coming to the river.
