Sometimes you have to share your secret spots with other people, although i’d be holding onto this place for a while now the October long weekend was going to be the time that i shared it with some of my friends. This particular weekend is one of those weekends that gets super busy on the Mid North Coast, maybe it’s because it’s the first warm long weekend of the season, i don’t know. Anyways Just down the road from this secret place are a couple of other campgrounds that were filled to the brim. My place backs onto this same lake is with in a few kilometers and costs $70 less a night for a unpowered site, yes the place i go to is free. I don’t know about you but when i get out there i like to be semi alone at the very least. Not have 300 other people camping in my back pocket. There is also a National Park run campground in the same area that is $50 a night. This place was full and had maybe 500 tents vans and camper trailers on it. Not sure how many people that would be but you would have to think nearly double would be a good starting point. That place is only 100 meters from the beach. While i love the beach i would never take my family there to camp. It is known to attract the younger people and not be real family friendly. I’m not here to judge other people at least they are getting out there and having some fun.

Back to my “special secret place” i have been there literally dozens of times and only ever seen one or two other people. Apart from hikers and bush walkers the place was ours.

You really can’t get any closer to the water front without getting wet. That is one of the main features of this place. There is a small step down into the water and there are some small rocks/shells for the first couple of meters but after that it’s a soft sandy bottom that is fairly shallow.

The day was coming to an end the wind died down the clouds and gone and then mother nature turned on her usual beautiful sunset.

Harry decided he didn’t want to sleep in the swag so i set him a bed in the back of the ute. He dose like to do his own thing. I will have to get him his own swag really soon (maybe as a late birthday present)

I’m not sure what happened to the rest of the pictures i took but unfortunately i can find them.
Apart from not having an actual bathroom or toilet facility this place is absolutely brilliant and it would be great for just about anyone. Setting up a lawn chair in the water and throwing a line or just kicking back relaxing. It is safe and quiet area. I would suggest it be 4×4 access only unless you were super careful with a 2wd vehicle. Bare in mind that there is a walking track that runs through here and there were a tonne of hikers making there way back and forwards.

If anyone would like the location of this place i’m happy to give it out, message me and i will hook you up.

Once again i would like to thank David and the girls for another fun weekend. Not sure how long it will take to recover from laughing at the rope swing indecent.
